The "Flush Series" hatch is highly durable. The reinforced ribs make it capable of being stood or walked on for long periods of time. This is our lowest profile hatch that minimizes the chance of it being a tripping hazard as well if mounted in a high traffic area. The improved gasketing system provides a watertight seal that will keep everything underneath it dry. This product holds up to the harshest of weather conditions and is impervious to harsh chemicals. All of our products are UV stabilized minimizing degradation from prolonged sunlight exposure. Our superior 316 stainless steel piano hinge system prevents any premature rusting due to saltwater. Superior materials for a superior product.

This was my first experience ordering products from DPI. I must tell you that you have excellent customer care when ordering and this starts with the nice lady who answers the telephone. She was extremely helpful in getting information to me. I was so glad that you guys could produce the larger size hatches in the grey color. I think this will be a plus for your sales, as Tempress is the only ones stocking this color and their product is weak in design compared to yours. The packaging was superb protecting the product and everything was intact upon arrival. There is nothing worst then having to play swap out on large shipped items. I temporarily installed the hatches and the fit and finish looks dead on comparing to your specifications listed on the DPI website. So far I must say this is an excellent quality product. I will definitely recommend your company going forward. The only thing I recommend is that you add a more dimension detail to each hatch drawing on your website. Specifically the depth of the cutout ring. I was able to obtained this information from your customer care with a simple phone call. Once again the nice lady answering the telephone got out her tape measure and rocked out the information immediately. Secondly’ I only found your product digging around at a boaters warehouse in Sarasota, Florida. You guys need to get your product out to wholesale distributors and retailers like “Donovan Marine” and “West Marine”. Your products should be forefront on the shelves.

Van RV Builder
I decided to make use of some storage space hidden under the floor of my 2023 Ford Transit Connect cargo van. I could have simply put piano hinges on the cutout section of material, but wanted a more professional, finished look, and this 36x13 flush hatch worked great. I have been told by several people that it looks factory-made.

I bought this to replace the identical hatch I purchased in 2004. After 23.5 years of service, the only reason I replaced is because it had yellowed some after sitting in the sun every single day of it's life. There was zero issues with hinge or latches. That is why I did not hesitate to purchase another one. I was also very pleased to see they are made in the USA!

As it states on the main Flush Series Hatch page all of our hatches in this series are Low Profile which is 3/8" above the mounting surface.

200lbs - 300lbs, we have had many customers of different sizes tell us that they are able to walk or stand on the hatch.

All shown in the photo is what is included with the hatch. Hatch comes assembled, with door, and gasket in the door. As stated on the hatches main page, screws are not included, we do recommend the #8 pan head stainless steel, in whatever length you need.
